The last couple of months developments on the field of maritime cybersecurity follow each other at a rapid pace. Due to the increasingly faster internet connections the vulnerability of the network is increasing, and the likelihood of being hit by a cyberattack is continuously growing.
Therefore we have recently implemented a number of product updates and introduced new solutions which we’d love to tell you more about in Hamburg. Such as our new Vulnerability Service Naval Wolf, which is a cybersecurity scanning tool that finds vulnerabilities and detects other security issues within the network, for instance weak passwords. Implementing a vulnerability plan such as Naval Wolf helps you identify, evaluate, mitigate and report the risks which could lead to exploits or cyber attacks.
Vulnerability Management is a mandatory service for compliance with the IACS E26 and E27 class regulation.
The International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) has recently published new unified requirements for cyber security: E26 and E27. These will be mandatory for classed ships and offshore installation contracted for construction on or after 1 January 2024.
For customers who would like to implement the new IACS cyber security requirements, we’d love to share our insights that might be interesting for you in the process of meeting those requirements.
